The Alwyne community has come together during this pandemic in so many ways: whatsapp chat, bagpipe Thursdays, VE Day socialising, grocery and plant swaps, craft gifts, charity fund-raising, animal and bird watching, and so much more.

Daily interactions are on the Alwynes WhatsApp group, set up by Kirsten and used by many of us to request and offer help, seeds, flour and jokes. It was a crucial part of developing the Alwyne community.

Where WhatsApp is immediate and transitory, this website is a record of these days, for us, for those who live in the Drive and Grove in the future, and for anyone interested in extraordinary ordinary lives.
